Institutional and Program Accreditation, Approval, and Licensure
The office of Institutional Research maintains a list of the associations, agencies, and governmental bodies that accredit, approve and/or licence the institution and its programs.
Tufts University as a whole is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE; formerly called the New England Association of Schools and Colleges, or NEASC), which serves the public and the educational community by establishing and maintaining high standards of educational excellence through self-evaluation and peer review. Schools and colleges which demonstrate that they meet these standards are accredited and thus become members of the Association.
Tufts University’s most recent NECHE on-site comprehensive evaluation took place from March 10 – March 13, 2013. Tufts’ previous comprehensive evaluation took place in 2003.
