New Faculty Orientation

University-wide New Faculty Orientation (NFO) is designed to welcome you into our community by introducing you to the university’s mission and goals, by connecting you with senior leaders, and by guiding you to the resources that will support your work and well-being. Just as importantly, NFO brings together a cohort of new faculty to foster connections across Tufts schools and encourage supportive networks building that can enrich your experience from day one.

- Attend New Hire Orientation
- Keep an eye out for an email in your Tufts account inviting you to attend the HR New Hire Orientation. New Hire Orientation takes place every Monday from 9 am – 12 pm eastern time zone.
- Sign up for benefits
- Secure Your Tufts University Employee Identification Card
- Sign up Online Trainings
- Complete the New Employee Questionnaire in the Tufts Learning Center and complete the New Employee Required Acknowledgements
- Complete Safety Training Needs Assessment to identify which trainings are required through Tufts Learning Center
- Complete Mandatory Training on Discrimination and Harassment Prevention
- Go to website for instructions on how to register for training
- Explore New Faculty Toolkit: Resources for New Faculty via Tufts learning center
- Go to Tufts Learning Center and log in with your Tufts username and password.
- Select the Getting Started Toolkit: Resources for New Faculty and enroll.
- Attend New Hire Orientation
