Dear colleagues,

Cultivating a community where everyone can learn, teach, work, create, pursue research and scholarship, and thrive while doing so is a shared responsibility. To support this commitment, Tufts has launched Title VI and Title VII: Nondiscrimination and Freedom of Expression at Tufts, a new 30-minute online learning module developed internally with input from a cross-functional steering committee and community stakeholders.

Designed as an introductory learning experience, the module helps build a shared understanding of civil rights protections, freedom of expression, our responsibilities, expectations, and pathways for support. Faculty, staff, and university leadership are encouraged to complete the module by June 30, 2027 as part of the university’s broader efforts to advance a respectful and thriving campus community. Please join me in our ongoing effort to make Tufts a welcoming place for all.
