Academic Symposium in Honor of the Inauguration of President Sunil Kumar

Dear members of the Tufts community,

In honor of the inauguration of Sunil Kumar as the fourteenth president of Tufts University, I will be convening an academic symposium, entitled “One Health: Tufts Making an Impact” on Wednesday, October 4, from 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. in the DeBlois Auditorium (Tufts Center for Medical Education, 145 Harrison Ave, Boston, MA 02111).

One Health is a collaborative, multi-sectoral, and transdisciplinary approach—working at the local, regional, national, and global levels—with the goal of achieving optimal health outcomes at the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment. This symposium will bring together the groundbreaking research conducted by Tufts faculty, postdoctoral scholars, and students across disciplines in the area of One Health.

The academic symposium is open to all members of the Tufts community and will be followed by the Boston Campus Community Reception for Inauguration.
