To foster ongoing innovation and collaboration in teaching and scholarship, the Office of the Provost introduced two new seed grant programs in December 2010, Tufts Collaborates! and Tufts Innovates! Through these new programs, the University is funding 30 seed grants during the 2011- 2012 academic year for activities that break new ground. The Office of the Provost is now pleased to announce its request for applications for competitive seed grants for activities during the 2012- 2013 academic year through:

Goals of the seed grants are to:

  • Ignite collaboration among faculty members across disciplines; and
  • Catalyze innovative ideas for student learning.

Seed grant awards will range from $500 to $50,000. A peer-review process will evaluate each proposal for the intellectual merits of the project, the potential for impact, and the degree to which the proposal adheres to the goals of the seed grant programs.

The deadline for proposal submission is January 27, 2012.

Notification of awards will be by March 30, 2012.
