If you answered yes to any of the above, join a community of innovative instructors to rethink your course design through the lens of how assessment can both shape and demonstrate learning. Together, we will reimagine exams and papers, increase the equity of projects and assignments, and experiment with creative new ways for students to demonstrate learning.
In this 5-day institute, you will:
- Create a plan to understand students’ progress toward your course’s learning goals
- Explore creative and equitable ways for students to leverage their strengths to demonstrate learning
- Critically reflect on traditional high-stakes assessment practices and their impact on equity and learning
- Identify strategies that support students in developing skills to measure and improve their own learning
