Course Design Retreat
Need protected time to develop an upcoming course? Join CELT’s Course Design Retreat for a focused day dedicated to course creation. Whether you’re designing a new course from scratch, revising a significant portion of an existing course, or developing course materials, this retreat provides the light structure and support to make meaningful progress.
The day will begin with a brief opening to set intentions and goals. You’ll then have extended time to work on your course while CELT colleagues are available at any time throughout the day for pedagogical consultation and brainstorming. We’ll have an optional mid-day check-in and close the retreat with a brief reflection where you can share progress, identify next steps, and connect with colleagues working on similar challenges.
Join us in person for lunch, snacks, and community, or participate via Zoom for flexibility. Bring your course materials, syllabi, learning outcomes, or other teaching artifacts, wherever you are in the design process. Please contact celt@tufts.edu with any questions.
When: Tuesday, March 17th, 10:00am – 3:00pm
Where: Hybrid (in-person on the Medford campus or via Zoom)
CELT will also offer a Mini Course Design Institute focused on adapting course design for AI challenges in June and a week-long Course Design Institute in August.
