Other Past Learning Communities
Mentoring Learning Community
This learning community supports faculty in mentoring graduate students across the University. During these peer-led synchronous meetings, we will explore readings, case studies, participants’ experiences, and more. Participation is comprised of both internal reflections and peer dialogue as we consider how to make changes in our own practice.
Assessment, Grading & Equity Faculty Learning Community
This learning community space for instructors to share experiences, brainstorm and support each other in exploring new practices to increase equity & learning in their courses. In the community, faculty discuss readings on topics of interest and share experiences from their own courses with structured feedback from the group.
Teaching Courses on Race, Class, Gender, Identity, and Power
This is an interdisciplinary group of faculty members who teach courses that center difficult topics including, but not limited to race, class, and gender. Members of this community read relevant scholarship, and share experiences and practices in an effort to support each other as they navigate the challenges that come with teaching these courses.
Teaching for Racial Equity / Antiracist Teaching
Faculty members came together to share innovative practices that bring racial equity to their teaching. Together, faculty explored concepts related to antiracist teaching, planned to integrate these practices into their work, and received feedback on current challenges.
