The December 2019 Teaching Symposium occurred on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, 8:45 AM - 2:45 PM on the Medford Campus.

These numbers are alarming, and, as faculty, we are increasingly challenged with how best to respond to and support students who are struggling with anxiety, depression or other mental health concerns. Sometimes it is difficult to discern which behaviors require urgent attention and which might be an appropriate emotional response to stress. We struggle with how can we hold our standards for academic achievement and at the same time support students’ social and emotional well-being.
