"Ensuring Academic Integrity in the Classroom: How the Library and the Academic Resources Center Can Help"

This two hour interactive workshop is meant for any member of the Tufts Arts and Sciences and Engineering faculty. It will include:
- Tufts’ new academic integrity policy
- designing effective assignments to prevent plagiarism
- a hands-on demonstration of Turnitin, an anti-plagiarism program that checks student work against a database of student papers and published articles
- a hands-on demonstration of RefWorks, a bibliographic management program that allows users to save citations and print correctly formatted bibliographies. RefWorks greatly reduces unintentional occurrences of plagiarism.
Attendees will be introduced to various individuals on campus who are resources in the area of plagiarism.
