Antoinette Matthews
Special Advisor to the Vice Provost for Innovation
Antoinette Matthews is Special Advisor to the Vice Provost for Innovation at Tufts University. She brings a depth of experience creating international strategic partnerships and alliances. Antoinette is a collaborative professional that guides and mentors cross-functional teams to foster (revenue and margin) growth. Her entrepreneurial spirit motivates and inspires her to drive innovative and high-impact projects, often leveraging emerging technologies and other high impact innovations to generate high-quality products that bring lucrative and recurring revenue streams.
More recently, Antoinette was Chief Business Development Officer for LuxSci, a privately owned SaaS cyber security company focused on the healthcare market. Prior to that she was Vice President of Licensing at MIT Technology Review (MIT’s independent media company) and Executive Director of MIT Enterprise Forum Global (a global entrepreneurial support organization focused on MIT-affiliated technology companies). With extensive international experience, launching and growing partnerships across China, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East, she has worked extensively with internal and external stakeholders and partners to deliver initiatives that aligned with strategic business outcomes and goals.
Born in South Africa, Antoinette has a Bachelor's degree majoring in Marketing and Financial Management from the University of Pretoria, South Africa and completed an MBA at the MIT Sloan School of Management in 2019.
