Frannie Shechter
Associate Director Strategy & Operations
Frannie facilitates new opportunities for innovation at Tufts through engaging and supporting internal and external stakeholders, and by providing infrastructure and organizational support. Frannie was previously a licensing associate in the Tufts Office for Technology Transfer and Industry Collaboration where she was responsible for evaluating early-stage technology disclosures and providing business development support to bring those technologies to market.
Before joining Tufts, Frannie spent time at mid-stage health tech startups. First, Frannie was part of the business development team at Pillo Health – maker of a smart device that stored and dispensed medication. Following her time at Pillo Health, Frannie was a product and project manager for John Snow Labs, a leading AI company in the healthcare space. Frannie holds a B.S. in Policy Analysis and Management from Cornell University, an MPH in Emergency & Disaster Management from Tel Aviv University, and a Ph.D. in Health Policy from Brandeis University.
