Friedman School Dean Search
There has been no other time in modern history when the societal needs addressed by the Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University have been more relevant than today. Students and faculty accept the challenge of addressing and solving complex problems the affect the nutritional well being of persons around the world.
As the only independent school of nutrition in the United States, with renowned faculty who teach in disciplines that span the breadth of nutrition science and policy, the school has a well-deserved reputation for academic excellence and alumni who make significant impact in their pursuits.
This unique school is engaged in a search to identify and welcome a new dean. In July 2011, Robin Kanarek, Ph.D., a long-time member of Tufts faculty and proven administrative leader, was appointed Dean ad Interim of the school and will continue to lead the school’s growth until the appointment of a new dean.
In addition to our internal Search Committee led by Provost David Harris, Ph.D., the University has engaged the services of Spencer Stuart, an internationally recognized executive search firm. Tuft’s Search Committee welcomes nominations and comment from alumni, members of academia, community partners and other Tufts stakeholders by contacting Spencer Stuart.
In the interim, you are invited to contact the search firm of Spencer Stuart who have been retained by Tufts to assist in the identification and selection of the Friedman School’s next dean.
