Tufts has long considered itself a global university. With more than 1,300 international students, 450 international faculty and scholars, and 6,000 alumni living outside of the United States, our global community is an essential part of our identity. We have a demonstrated commitment to global relations and international research, and many aspects of Tufts’ curriculum are global by design. Faculty members regularly engage in exemplary global scholarly activities, and we have a strong network of alumni, partners, and friends around the world.
Tufts’ T10 Strategic plan recognizes our strengths as a global university and commits to continued, coordinated efforts to challenge all students to think globally, and to better engage those who support global research, education, and outreach. Going forward, improved strategic coordination of information, programs, policies, and support systems for global work will create new opportunities for faculty, students, and staff, and move us forward in enhancing Tufts’ leadership position in global education, research, and impact
