The UCTFD assists the Provost in affirming excellent teaching and learning as a priority at Tufts, and in that context promotes and coordinates the educational and faculty development activities of the several schools.<\/p>\n<p>The UCTFD serves as a steering or advisory committee for :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/provost.tufts.edu\/celt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The\u00a0Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>CELT\u00a0strives to promote teaching innovation and support teaching-related initiatives, while collaborating and coordinating faculty development initiatives between campuses. CELT provides support and training for faculty in University Seminars, the Academic Leadership Development Program, University-wide Teaching and Learning Conferences, and Tufts Innovates.<\/li>\n<li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/provost.tufts.edu\/celt\/initiatives\/academic-leadership-development-program-ald\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The\u00a0Academic Leadership Development Program.<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>ALD\u00a0provides academic leaders with the tools, knowledge, and skills they need to navigate their roles, and arose from the UCTFD priority list of faculty development needs.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/viceprovost.tufts.edu\/tufts-springboard\"><em>Tufts Springboard.<\/em><\/a> A new intramural grant program sponsored by the Office of the Provost and the Office of the Vice Provost for Research (OVPR), Tufts Springboard is the next generation of the popular <a href=\"https:\/\/provost.tufts.edu\/teaching-research\/seed-grants-for-teaching-and-research\/tufts-collaborates\/\">Tufts Collaborates<\/a><span style=\"color: #333333\">\u00a0and\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/provost.tufts.edu\/teaching-research\/seed-grants-for-teaching-and-research\/tufts-innovates\/\">Tufts Innovates<\/a><span style=\"color: #333333\"> programs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><em><a href=\"https:\/\/provost.tufts.edu\/celt\/35th-university-wide-teaching-conference\/\">University-wide Teaching Conferences<\/a>.<\/em> UCTFD provides guidance to CELT and Educational and Scholarly Technology Services for conference and workshop programming.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n<p>Co-Chaired by the Office of the Vice Provost for Education and a rotating co-chair from one of the schools, membership includes academic deans and faculty, as appointed by the school Deans or Directors to represent their local faculty and teaching development \"office\" or \"process\", a library representative appointed by the University Library Council, the director of CELT, and representatives from other institutional offices that support faculty in their academic work, including the Office of Institutional Research and Evaluation and Educational and Scholarly Technology Services.<\/p>\n<p>UCTFD meets monthly throughout the academic year, September to June.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-21-0-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-21-0-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_siteorigin-panels-builder
