As mentioned above, the syllabus is a primary tool for helping to set an inclusive, supportive climate for learners. It reflects your tone and pedagogical choices that will make students feel supported and able to be successful, or not. <a href=\"https:\/\/provost.tufts.edu\/celt\/files\/Syllabus-Reflection_website.pdf\">This document<\/a> contains an incomplete, but initial list of questions to help you make your syllabus more inclusive.<\/p>\n<h3>Resources<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/provost.tufts.edu\/celt\/files\/Inclusion-by-Design-Survey-Your-Syllabus-Brantmeier-Broscheid-Moore-1.pdf\"><em>Inclusion by Design<\/em><\/a> is a research-based framework for developing an inclusive syllabus<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.chronicle.com\/blogs\/profhacker\/make-a-more-inclusive-syllabus-with-tulanes-accessible-syllabus-project\/62386\">Make a More Inclusive Syllabus<\/a> describes and links to Tulane\u2019s Accessible Syllabus Project (ProfHacker)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/provost.tufts.edu\/celt\/files\/Syllabus-Reflection_website.pdf\">Gender Inclusive Guidelines<\/a> offers advice on using gender-inclusive\/non-sexist language (University of Pittsburgh&#8217;s Gender, Sexuality. and Women&#8217;s Studies Program)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.poynter.org\/news\/syllabus-worth-difference\">A Syllabus\u2019 Worth of Difference<\/a> suggests &#8220;points of entry&#8221; for making a syllabus more inclusive (Georgetown University)<\/p>\n<p>In\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ted.com\/talks\/chimamanda_adichie_the_danger_of_a_single_story\">The Danger of a Single Story<\/a>, novelist Chimamanda Adichie warns about the danger of a singular representations of groups of people.
