Dear Tufts faculty,

I am writing with exciting updates about Connecting the Community of Tufts Scholars (CCTS). Thanks to the work of many of your colleagues, we have five searches currently underway to build the CCTS cluster focused on climate. Now we are ready to begin the two-step process of shaping Cluster 2 by working closely with faculty across the university.

Step One involves selecting a theme for the next cluster area. So far, we have received a dozen proposals from faculty and will continue accepting them through January 18. If you would like to submit a proposal, please do so using this link by January 18.

Following proposal submission, faculty are welcome to participate in virtual Cluster Theme Workshops scheduled for January 25 and January 29. Facilitated by the CCTS team, the goal of the workshops is to gather additional faculty input and feedback about the proposed themes. This information will be used to help determine the theme for Cluster 2. The selected theme will be announced on February 12.

Looking ahead to Step Two: The CCTS team invites all members of the community to participate in Cluster Cohort Proposal Workshops to be held between February 12 and March 4. Cluster 2 Cohort Proposals are due March 12. We will follow up in the spring semester with more details about next steps.

Thank you for your support in our efforts to advance inclusive excellence at Tufts.

Warm regards,
Caroline
