- Serves as co-chair (with the Vice President for Information Technology) of the Information Technology Council that oversees central IT for the university and its seven schools
- Oversees the University Library Council for Tufts' five libraries
- Oversees Digital Collections and Archives and University Library Technology Services
- Oversees the University Committee on Teaching and Faculty Development and related activities to support faculty in their academic roles
- Works closely with Administrative and Academic Technology to support education and research across the university
- Supports cross-school initiatives such as OpenCourseWare in collaboration with the University College of Citizenship and Public Service

- Advises the provost on strategic development and management of the University's International Board of Overseers, with the mission of furthering the internationalization of the University.
- Is responsible for conceptualizing, developing and implementing the Tufts in the World program that introduces the University to government, business and education communities internationally.
- As Senior Associate Dean of the Fletcher School, serves in the dean's cabinet for The Fletcher School, exercising broad executive responsibility for strategic initiatives, relationships with governments and management of relations with Fletcher's board of overseers and its European and Asian advisory groups
- Oversees and directs The Fletcher School's Global Master of Arts Program, with full admissions, budgetary, staffing, and development responsibilities.

- Maintains historical data on AS&E committees, procedural documentation, annual committee lists, committee election results etc.
